This time though, we can hear the conversation as it was recorded. Not sure it's the right thing to do, but given the way BetButler have behaved of late I'd be recording all my interactions with them as well, might keep them honest.
The background is that despite repeated attempts to engage BetButler on behalf of their forum members, The Gambling Times couldn't get a meeting, a statement or even a decent phone conversation with someone with the authority to speak to them. So they paid them a visit. Again.
The resulting recording is well worth a listen. Yes 'David' sounds a bit of a dick at times (understandably given the situation!), and it's nothing compared to how stupid BetButler and their staff seem. I understand it's been edited down, but only to clear 5 minutes of silence after the first person answers and then just doesn't come back!
For a company to be this blind to the damange they cause themselves is really suprising. If they were a fully functioning bookmaker, with a fully functioning staff roster, then they'd know it was worth taking 30 seconds out to politely explain the situation to The Gambling Times.
Chris Norman was either there or he wasn't. He was either available or he wasn't. Regardless, what you can't do is say that he doesn't want to speak to someone, before that person has even introduced themselves. Also, saying poor service is nothing to do with you, even when you're working for that company and are representing it on the door, is stupid.
I have less and less faith in this company. People are still being paid, all be it very slowly if it's a big amount, but there are shocking stories coming out all the time, and there are weird late settling bets as well.
If you've got any information or a story to tell then please add it to everyone elses.
