Here we go again, a funny week as I’ve hit a few pitfalls, mainly float related, as I have won bets (suprisingly can be a problem!) and the money has become tied up in bookies. I’ve started with a small float so it’s a little bit tough keeping it in the exchanges to properly lay. I have started to underlay to ensure that I’m credited for this hassle, and this is all time related problems at this stage! I’ve also found I have problems with getting ID for most new sites, this is as I have a Visa Electron card that can be used by minors (due to personal credit issues from the late 90’s!), definitely don't use one of these cards if you have any choice! There were also a couple of errors in the week, no major costs but you learn from mistakes so I’m not beating myself up too much.
Friday
A record day for me, as I top the £100 mark with a day where things fall for me, I take my risk free £20 welcome casino bonus at Boyles, and hit the Frankie bonus for a nice start, I back Bangladesh to lose for a bit of fun, I also work through the bet £50 for the week at Sky and get a £10 free bet which is used today and open a Unibet account and get a tasty win with their free £25 deposit bonus although much of my float gets moved there and locked in bonus.
Sky Bet - £36 backed won £112 – free bet £10 lost = Profit +£76
Unibet - £25 backed (+£25 free bet) - won £250 = Profit +£225
Betfair – Back wins £10 Lay losses £247.29 = Loss -£237.29
Boyles - £20 free on Frankie slots – Win £71.30 Stake £20 = Profit £50.30
Day P/L - + £114.01
Saturday
Victor Bet have a refund if you lose £25 accy – I place this on Villa, Everton and Sunderland and spread it over 3 days so I have plenty of time to lay the legs. I take a risk backing Villa at old Trafford first so it’s nice and easy if they don’t win laying it so I have profit. They go 1-0 up, a plane flies over Old Trafford declaring Moyes the wrong one- it’s largely booed as the reds storm to a 4-1 win. Slightly down but £25 to use next weekend.
Bet Victor - £25 Accy – lost = Loss £25
Betfair lay = Won £12
Day P/L = -£13
Sunday
Mother’s day so not near a laptop much of the day– I do however back and lay an arb at Corals on Liverpool to beat Spurs – why I bother laying this I don’t know as we get thrashed 4-0.
Day P/L = +£4.44
Monday
I get some float back to Matchbook from Unibet with close odds on Sunderland and they are still 0% comms. Unibet bonus needs wagering out and I have £200 to work through trying to limit my losses against the £54 I’m up.
Matchbook + £45 , Unibet -£50
Day P/L = -£5
Tuesday
It’s the business end of the T20 world cup. This means that Bangladesh will collapse as usual, trade on them losing again – I won’t be touching the rest of the games all too close to call. I open a Comeon account and use their £25 matched deposit on the Man Utd game, backing them to win, I also get a Bwin reload bonus from their account. I opened this a while ago and set it up in Euros, I back and lay the draw there –this comes in of course more float locked in bookies, and furthermore it’s in Euros – You can use £ in Bwin – please do not make the same error as me.
Bangladesh lose again = Betfair +£5
Man Utd Draw = Betfair (loss £86), Bwin (won £144), (Comeon loss £25), Matchbook (win £20) = £184 won £132 loss
Day P/L - +57
Wednesday
I need to complete wagering requirements at Bwin and find a nice arb on bottom of the table Hearts to draw with Aberdeen. I overlay on it, and I’m pleased to see them 1-0 down and down to 10 men with 5 minutes to go – they of course equalise meaning more Euros to deal with and empties my Matchbook float. At least I can withdraw these now, get hammered for 3% on the withdrawal from Bwin. I also back PSG at 888Sport in play but forget that you need to back inplay on tues and weds to get their free £10 bet. I will do this next week, as it is easy money – I figure if you back and lay at half time the odds don’t really move.
10 free spins on Frankie slot (Betfair) = +£1.75
Hearts Draw - Matchbook loss £155 – Bwin win £153 = loss £2
Paris SG Win – 888 Sport win £16 Betfair loss £12 = +£4
Day P/L - +£3.75
Thursday
I sign the week off by finally getting my Seanie Mac account open, after some of the deposit issues discussed earlier. Use my £25 on an arb at Aintree on a Mccoy horse, get a nice profit when it comes in with a free bet however it takes more of my float out of Betfair. I also arb a horse in the same race at unibet and 888Sport – the odds are identical on these 2 bookies – however in case this leads to me getting their accounts limited quicker I won’t be doing this again, but interesting to note.
Seanie Mac +£100, Betfair - £71, 888Sport -£5 Unibet -£5
Day P/L = +£19
TOTAL WEEK P/L - + £180.20
Things staring to go in the right direction, main aims next week will be to readdress float and get some money on the national !!
Websites joined this week and feedback
Unibet – almost identical to 888Sport in it’s outlook, the binus is a bit of a pain to gamble out, but no complaints about the site and good amount of markets
Bwin – I personally don’t particularly like Bwin as I stupidly put this all in Euros, and charge me to withdraw, they probably don’t like me as I have won quite heavily there and withdrawn my bonus. The site is easy to use, feels very European kind of pretended I was on holiday when playing there. The bonus was very easy to do as low wagering requirements. I would say an easy one for people to use when starting
Seanie Mac – Seanie Mac is basically the same as Boyles, I like it there though, a lovely Irish voice on the phone when you talk to customer services makes me think about calling them more often. Opening bonus is ok £25 on first bet and then £25 more after 5 more wagers
Comeon- I don’t do a lot on Comeon as I win on matched deposit bonus there and so no need to go back. Looking over it the site has a lot going on, offers etc and looks good, so I’m hoping to get back on for more in the future. They give me 10 free spins on Jackhammer slot game. I hated it very hard to work out what was going on – I won £1 and lost it again.
