I have been gubbed. Not the first time I've received a gubbing email, and certainly won't be the last either, but it's still a frustrating way to start a day and the new year. This gubbing means the account, for sports betting at least, is pretty much useless. The odds aren't great there, never seen an arb, but the bonuses made it worth a play once in a while. Unfortunately that's not going to happen anymore. |
It's bascially the bookmaker saying that you've beaten them. They wanted to turn you into a degenerate gambler, a degen, hopefully in the high margin casino, but instead you've won a few pounds from them. It doesn't look like you're going to be a profitable customer, so thanks but please piss off.
They're telling you that their odds aren't good enough to warrent betting there normally, but if you take their bonuses to make it worth while they don't like you.
The name of the game then is to appear as degenerate as possible, whilst also beating the bookmakers at the same time. A few spins in the casino (without a bonus) won't go a miss. A few wild accumulators will help mask your true intentions. Simply a few standard bets on Manchester United to win a game can make you look normal.
In most instances a sportsbook gubbing still allows access to casino promotions, so you can imagine how delighted people get when they get a big casino win against a bookmaker that's limited them on sports! In fact losing this bookmaker account just reinfornces my theory that 2015 is going to be the year of the casino bonus.
